QA Automation Engineer Intern
Cambio is a software research and development center for Cambio Healthcare Systems AB, Sweden, currently with over 300 software engineering professionals in Sri Lanka designing and developing cutting edge Healthcare Solutions using state of the art of technologies to cater our prestigious clientele.
Summary
We are seeking a Frontend QA Automation Engineer Intern with good foundation in UI test automation and modern web technologies. In this role, you will contribute to building and maintaining reliable, scalable automated test suites for web applications, ensuring high quality across critical user journeys. You will work closely with engineering teams and leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance test coverage, improve debugging, and accelerate development workflows.
Key responsibilities
1) Frontend Test Automation
· Develop and maintain UI automation tests using tools like Playwright (preferred)
· Create and maintain end-to-end (E2E) test scenarios for critical user journeys
2) AI-Assisted Quality Engineering
· Use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to:
· Review and validate AI-generated outputs to ensure correctness and reliability
Expected Technical Skills
· Basic understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript
· Basic understanding of Playwright (preferred), Cypress, Selenium
· Comfortable using AI tools to support development and testing workflows
Soft Skills
· Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
· Attention to detail
· Proactive and collaborative mindset
· Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow through
Training would be given on Playwright Test and AI Automation for the selected Candidate.
