Job Overview:

We are seeking an IT Intern to join our on-site IT Service Desk team. The ideal candidate will assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and ensuring our IT infrastructure operates smoothly. This role offers hands-on experience with the latest technologies, including Intune for laptop installations, with a focus on automation and monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site support for end-user issues as part of the IT Service Desk.

  • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, software, network systems, and conference devices.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues promptly and efficiently.

  • Assist users with challenges related to computers, network devices, and IT infrastructure.

  • Coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs and replacements of equipment.

  • Offer orientation and guidance to users on new software and computer equipment.

  • Maintain and regularly update technical documentation on IT processes, hardware, and software configurations.

  • Test new hardware and software before full-scale installation within the organization.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Degree or higher diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.

  • Strong interest in IT hardware and software troubleshooting.

  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and operating systems.

  • Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with end-users.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
