As part of our strategic vision to enhance data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency, we are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and architectures to support business intelligence and analytics, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Power BI.

In this role, you will design, develop, and manage data solutions that ensure data integrity, availability, and performance across systems. You will work as part of a collaborative team, leveraging your technical expertise to develop data-driven solutions, automate workflows, and streamline data processing while working across cross-functional teams to address complex data challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to support data integration and analytics.
  • Develop and optimize data architectures, databases, and data lakes/warehouses to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data to support data-driven applications and reporting needs.
  • Utilize real-time streaming and batch processing technologies to ensure data availability and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to enhance data processing performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement technical solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize data processes, tools, and systems.
  • Manage multiple data-related tasks effectively while ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data engineering solutions for scalable data processing. (perhaps as bonus)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and report/dashboard development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in data automation and optimization.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a solution-driven mindset.

Bonus Qualifications (Preferred, but not required)

  • Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Hand-on experience with Python for data processing and basic data analysis
  • Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, , Apache Nifi
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation pipelines, and infrastructure management.
