Cambio is a software research and development center for Cambio Healthcare Systems AB, Sweden, currently with over 300 software engineering professionals in Sri Lanka designing and developing cutting edge Healthcare Solutions using state of the art of technologies to cater to our prestigious clientele.

We are looking for a dynamic Architect to join our technology center in Colombo. You will work with a team of Software Architects and Product Managers to conceptualize, design, and implement next-generation, mission-critical enterprise healthcare solutions for international clients.

As a Software Architect, you will serve as a pivotal technical leader in your domain, responsible for envisioning, crafting, and documenting robust and scalable software architectures and solutions. Your expertise will ensure that the software solutions developed by your team align with both functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Your role will involve close collaboration with architecture boards, overseeing code reviews, and actively participating in workshops to align technical requirements with business objectives. You will be expected to contribute to strategic improvements, driving innovation and ensuring that the company’s technical capabilities are consistently evolving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field from a recognized university
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the software industry, with proven experience in a Software Architect or similar technical leadership role.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Proven experience in designing solutions that address performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Expertise in guiding and mentoring teams on technical challenges and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Skilled in aligning strategic vision with practical execution to drive impactful technical outcomes.
• Strong technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Ensure smooth transitions between development and operational teams, enabling the flawless execution of software solutions from development through to production.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements, contributing to ongoing innovation efforts within the company.

Familiarity and hands-on experience in the following areas will be considered a strong advantage

• Familiarity with FHIR/OpenEHR and their application in software architecture.
• Proficient in Java-based technologies such as EJB3, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices, Kubernetes, and Observability frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Maven, Subversion, GIT, and Jenkins.
• Exposure to DevOps and SecOps processes.
• Experience in front-end development or knowledge of front-end technologies.
• Exposure to large-scale, complex, distributed systems.
