Cambio Software Engineering is a software research and development center for Cambio Healthcare Systems AB, Sweden, currently with over 300 software engineering professionals in Sri Lanka designing and developing cutting edge Healthcare Solutions using state of the art of technologies to cater to our prestigious clientele.

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to join our dynamic team and take charge of the release process for one of our products, the Clinical Information System (CIS). As a vital system used in anesthesia, intensive care, and neonatal intensive units, CIS supports life-critical functions and requires top-tier quality, precision, and reliability in every release.

About the Role:

As the Release Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that new releases of CIS are delivered smoothly on time, and with the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to manage the entire release cycle, ensuring that each update meets the stringent requirements of healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end release process for CIS, from planning to execution.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize release schedules, milestones, and workflows.
• Ensure clear communication and alignment across all teams and stakeholders.
• Oversee deployments to production environments, ensuring seamless and reliable delivery.
• Proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate risks related to release management.
• Continuously refine release processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Manage release configuration, readiness reviews, and go/no-go decisions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in Release Management.
• Solid understanding of software engineering and release management practices.
• Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Familiarity with configuration management principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Jira).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments is a plus.
