Cambio Software Engineering is a software research and development center for Cambio Healthcare Systems AB, Sweden, currently with over 300 software engineering professionals in Sri Lanka designing and developing cutting edge Healthcare Solutions using state of the art of technologies to cater to our prestigious clientele.

About the Role:

As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring that our software products meet the necessary performance benchmarks and can handle high loads under various conditions. You will lead the development, execution, and analysis of performance tests, as well as define performance-related requirements and strategies to optimize our systems for peak performance. In addition to focusing on load and performance, you will also take ownership of critical non-functional requirements, including disaster recovery and zero downtime deployment. The role will require close collaboration with software engineering teams, quality assurance, and product management to design scalable, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop performance testing strategies, frameworks, and best practices for large-scale applications.
• Plan, create, and execute load tests to evaluate system performance, scalability, and capacity under different load conditions.
• Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks, potential scalability issues, and areas for optimization.
• Work closely with development teams to design systems that meet performance and scalability requirements from the ground up.
• Generate detailed performance reports and provide actionable insights and recommendations based on performance testing results.
• Mentor engineering teams on performance best practices, ensuring knowledge transfer across teams.
• Perform deep-dive analysis on system performance issues and assist in resolving those issues.
• Take ownership of critical non-functional requirements such as disaster recovery and zero deployment ensuring systems meet broader non-functional standards beyond performance.

What we are looking for in you:

• 5+ Years of experience in performance testing, load testing, and optimization of large-scale applications.

• Strong knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace).
• Proficient in scripting and automation using tools like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of profiling and monitoring tools and methodologies.
• Proven leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A team player who fosters a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on diagnosing performance issues.
• Experience working closely with cross-functional teams including developers, system architects, QA, and operations.
